Bonding - (Temporarily Unavailable)
It can be very difficult and time consuming trying to bond two or more rabbits together and, in your own home, it can be even more difficult. Let me take the stress off you while I play match maker! It can take anywhere from several weeks to a month or more depending on each pet's personality and compatibility, so patience is key.
What to expect:
I begin the bonding process immediately! Since most small mammals bond during stressful situations, I take them on car rides where we will run errands together. When we come back to the Burrow they are set up in a neutral area where they can be monitored. If they have a disagreement, I DO NOT separate them; this is where a lot of mistakes happen. Instead, I put them in a pet carrier, pet backpack or pet stroller and we do chores together around the Burrow where there is constant movement and distraction.
When they are in need of a break or can't be trusted to be together unattended, I have two 2x4 pens set up for when they need to be separated; especially during the beginning stage of the bonding process.
The whole process usually takes less than two weeks and I will give go-home instructions for when your pets return home with you.
